Minutes of the Finance Meeting held Monday 26th July 2004 At Sandycroft Community Centre, Phoenix Street, Sandycroft, Deeside, Flints.
Present: Cllrs. Mrs. L Clare (Presiding), D. Clare, B Humphries, Mrs. J Jenkins, A. Party, J. D. Vyse and the Clerk 1. Apologies: Cllrs. D. Wisinger, Mrs Sandra Wynn. 2. Minutes The minutes of the Meeting held 26 April 2004 were taken as read, and confirmed as a true & correct record. Proposed by Cllr. J D Vyse & Seconded by (1k. B. Humphries. 3. Matters Arising from the Minutes. • War Institute /Cllr. D Clare requested a copy of the constitution that had been received from the Charity Commission, • The Clerk’s salary grade scale I further information had been received from SLCC. Following perusal of the Contract, to be reviewed, at the next finance meeting. • Bridge Villas rear access / as the Clerk had obtained information from the Authority and from the legal department of One Voice Wales, a site meeting would be held 7.OOpm Thursday 12 August, between members of council and the three residents of Bridge Villas. After this site meeting, expert opinion and costs would be obtained, for the next financial meeting. • Additional Bus Shelters by the food processing factory and in Station Road, Sandycroft, 50% match funding with the authority was available, although each shelter cost between three thousand and five thousand pounds. Ad shell no longer had the contract for their advertising shelters, for which they maintained Queensbury Shelters now had the-contract, but did -not do advertising. -However the Authority did have a future program for bus shelter locations and Duncan Stewart, Flintshire County Council, would be sending details. 4. Financial Assistance The Request for Support from Welsh Border Community Transport. Council were read the letter and informed of the enclosures. After discussion it was agreed that WBCT be informed that the next meeting of council, when applications for financial- aid- grants came under consideration was January 2005. 5. The Financial Constitution It was agreed that councillors each-have -a copy, and further discussion should take place at the next financial meeting. 6. Any other business for discussion. • Broken fence, fronting Sandycroft Community Centre/ Additional quotations for palisade fencing would be obtained. • Office equipment / Committee agreed that the Clerk should, purchase a shredder and a photocopier. • A. summary of the Receipts and Expenditure for the period April’— June 2004 were circulated. 7. Time /Date of next meeting 7.OOpm Monday 13 September at the Community Centre.
