QUEENSFERRY COMMUNITY COUNCIL

Minutes of the Finance Meeting held 7.OOpm Monday 26 April 2004 At Sandycroft Community Centre, Phoenix Street, Sandycroft, Deeside, Flintshire

Present: Curs. J D Vyse (Presiding),  Mrs. L Clare,  B Humphries, Mrs Sandra Wynn, and the Clerk.

1. Apologies: Cllrs. J. Barker, D. Clare, A. Parry.

2. The Minutes of the Meeting held 1 March 2004 were taken as read, and confirmed as a true & correct record. Proposed  by Cllr. B. Humphries & Seconded by Cllr. Mrs. L Clare.

3. Matters Arising from the Minutes.

• War Memorial Institute / an acknowledgement had been received for the recent financial grant that they had been given by council, together with a copy of the accounts.

• Chairman of the Finance Committee — Cllr. Mrs Linda Clare agreed to Chair financial meetings.

4. The Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2004

Council had been circulated with a copy of the accounts, which were accepted and recommendation would be made to the June meeting of Council that these accounts be approved, and signed by the Chairman and Clerk.

The Clerk was thanked for her efforts in the preparation and presentation of the accounts.

5. Any other Business for Discussion.

• The Clerk had received information, when attending the meeting of One Voice Wales, that, council clerks move up the scale of salary grades with length of time served in the job and experience gained. It was agreed that the Clerk should obtain further information and the situation would then be reviewed.

• Bridge Villas rear access / the Clerk would write to the Authority for advice, further discussion would take place after the June 2004 election.

• Additional Bus Shelters! as shelters would be beneficial by the food processing factory and in Station Road, Sandycroft ; enquiries would be made.

6. Time & date of next meeting — to be arranged after the election.
